In 2018, the G-STAR project will introduce and promote a simplified student internship system in construction teams. This training mechanism will be imple-mented in close cooperation with the construction teams. From March 14 to 15, 2018 in Bishkek, due to the tasks set and their effective implementation, the project conducted a 2-day training on capacity building of the team leaders and trainers of partner organizations AMETiS and CEEBA. On the first day of the training, the partic-ipants were acquainted with the Concept on the introduction of the internship sys-tem in the teams, and discussed the specific duties of the trainers, supervisors and trainees.

In Issyk-Kul oblast, farmers' groups received equipment for drying the fruits in the framework of the KARAGAT + project; they dry apples, pears, apricots, dog-rose and barberry. From selling dried fruit, farmers can get a good profit. To date, there has been interest from Russia for Issyk-Kul dried fruits. According to the leader of the farmer group from Chelpek village, farmers started to prepare the documentation and products for export.

February 9, 2018 in the Prigorodnoye village carried out monitoring and thermographic study of the house of Kirgizbaeva Rozgul, which was insulated during practical training on industrial materials and equipped with an energy efficient furnace. The thermographic study was carried out to check the quality of the insulation, as well as to determine the efficiency of the furnace. The outside air temperature at the time of the thermographic study of the house was -8C, also there was a slight breeze.

On 15th of February, 2018, the founder and president of ETI Sarah Minkara together with representatives of the US Embassy in Kyrgyzstan and staff of the PF AVEP visited the Imam Azam Madrasah in Kumush Aziz village, Jalal-Abad oblast, Suzak district. In the madrasah organized productive meeting with the students. The PF AVEP acquainted visitors with the results of training in 2017 in madrassas on confectioners and cooks, their activities and profit from sales of confectionery products.
