Within the framework of the M-STAR project to develop the qualification of madrassa teachers, an interactive training method was conducted with the participation of teachers of 6 madrassas and the training of the Bilim center. The training was accompanied by practical assignments and energizers. Madrassas teachers noted that this training was very useful, and they plan to practically use it in class. Also for participants of the training were distributed additional materials on the interactive method of teaching.
On June 17th 2018, in Tokmok, in the frameworks of the G-STAR project, organized a meeting of the project stakeholders. The meeting aimed to plan the project activities for the second half year of 2018 and improve the skills of construction brigades on promoting the services. Another topic of the meeting was the discussion of the issues occurred during the internships of training graduates. The meeting attended the representatives of construction brigades, apprentices, representatives of the Public Fund CEEBA and AMETiS, as well as the project staff. As a result of the discussions, decisions were taken to improve the mechanism for internships and motivate all participants in the learning process. Furthermore, the methods of promotion of services presented and carried out practical works.
The event for the solemn handing over the certificates of solar dryers for 20 farmer groups in the Issyk-Kul region took place on July 10, 2018 in the village of Kyzyl-Suu in Jety-Oguz rayon. Leaders and members of farmers' groups, villagers, representatives of local authorities, heads of the AVEP Public Foundation – Nurlan Tokonov and The Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of Finland in Astana - Katja Karppinen took part in the event.
On 11th of July, 2018 in the city of Talas, organized a conference devoted to Interfaith Tolerance involving government agencies and leaders of all confessions in the Talas region. At the conference, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic (KR) and the State Commission for Religious Affairs gave information on the legal normative documents and laws "On Freedom of Religion and Religious Organizations in the Kyrgyz Republic". In turn, PF AVEP presented the activities of the M-STAR project. At the end of the conference, the parties decided on the development of a work plan to improve the Interfaith Tolerance for the year.
On July 2nd 2018, AMETiS that is the strategic partner of the project, organized a field workshop. The workshop took place in Shabdan village of Chon Kemin region of the Chui province (oblast). Around 20 local constructors, in particular, brigade leaders participated in the workshop. Previously, in the frame-works of the project G-STAR, in the region, a number of skills trainings organized on the construction of EE stoves and insulation of houses. Trainees have improved their theoretical skills in the trainings.
