STUDENTS TAKE PRACTICAL LESSONS AT THE TRAINING AREA.
Vocational Lyceum No. 81 has been cooperating since 2022 within the framework of the "Vegetable production" project implemented by the AVEP public fund.
With the support of the project, the training farm produced water, grew vegetables and corn for silage production.
"For two years, we have been using the vegetables grown in the teaching farm to prepare hot meals for Lyceum students and to prepare salads in winter.
Last year, the high cost of fodder was a problem for many, but we came out of the winter by feeding the animals in the training farm with the silage we prepared as part of the project.
This year, we plan to grow vegetables on 5 acres of land for schoolchildren's meals and corn on 50 acres of land to prepare silage. In addition, 1 court is growing strawberries on the demonstration site.
Pupils of the farmer group at the lyceum conducted practical lessons at the teaching farm, and their interest in the lesson increased. I believe that doing things with one's own hands is better than hearing a thousand things, and seeing them better than hearing a thousand things," says Bekkazieva Kayyrkul, director of the Vocational Lyceum.
