The selection of trainees for apprenticeships
On July 2nd 2018, AMETiS that is the strategic partner of the project, organized a field workshop. The workshop took place in Shabdan village of Chon Kemin region of the Chui province (oblast). Around 20 local constructors, in particular, brigade leaders participated in the workshop. Previously, in the frame-works of the project G-STAR, in the region, a number of skills trainings organized on the construction of EE stoves and insulation of houses. Trainees have improved their theoretical skills in the trainings.
During the workshop, the trainees demonstrated their practical skills in constructing EE stove. G-STAR invited experienced brigade leaders in order to assess the practical skills of the trainees. Firstly, the brigade leaders observed the practical knowledge of the trainees during the work process and assessed their compliance for an apprenticeship that supposed to take place in the G-STAR-assisted brigades. The assessment was not limited only with the observations but the brigade leaders and AVEP technical expert also shared with their working experience and remarks on the work done. Daniyar Niyazaliev who graduated from the theoretical trainings in the past commented that he always reads and refers to instructions written in a training module, which is very helpful in the construction of EE stove.
In conclusion, AMETiS proposed and discussed conditions and a schedule for the apprenticeships. The trainees divided into five groups and elected one leader for each group. AMETiS took the responsibility to coordinate the implementation of the apprenticeships.
