M-STAR project expanded the area of activity

On 5th of February 2018, at the Islamic University was held the presentation of the M-STAR project with the participation of the Muftiyat, the State Commission for Religious Affairs (SCRA) and the madrasah directors. At this event, the representatives of the PF AVEP informed about the results of the project in the south of Kyrgyzstan and plans for 2018. According to Nurlan Tokonov, the director of the PF AVEP, the M-STAR project will start working in the northern regions of Kyrgyzstan starting in January 2018, to be more precise, in the following oblasts: Issyk-Kul, Naryn, Talas and Chui. Head of the educational department of Muftiyat Ergeshov Akimzhan noted that the project is needed to develop the potential of the madrassas students, as well as to improve the material and technical condition of the religious educational institutions. According to the terms of the project, the madrassa director should provide a letter of interest to the Muftiate, where together with the SCRA and the PF AVEP the madrassas will be selected for further cooperation within the framework of the M-STAR project.
